St Francis, Langholm - Gothic patterned Victorian stained glass with grisaille work.

The practice has also been commissioned to undertake numerous surveys reporting on the condition of ecclesiastical buildings for the Church of Scotland and the Roman Catholic Church in Scotland.

From the initial assessment of such properties our involvement has been extended to become involved with other professionals in the development of conservation strategies and project planning with the aim of securing the long term future of these buildings.

This has culminated in conservation projects involving clients and funding agencies including Historic Scotland, Inchinnan Parish Church - Italian ceramic panel from Sir Robert Rowand Anderson's "All Saints Church" demolished to build Glasgow Airport.the Heritage Lottery Fund and other funding sources.

Our experience extends from Scheduled Ancient Monuments (with Archaeology) through to Modernist Movement buildings and includes new uses for redundant buildings.

The works undertaken have required a working knowledge of the requirements of specialist conservators including wood, stained glass, plaster, applied decoration, gilding etc., as well as the essential fabric works.

Details of some of these most prestigious and interesting projects can be found on the FEATURES page of this Website.
